Of course you want good value for money, you also want to be sure that you’re getting the very best service when it comes to your eyes.
Giving our patients the treatment they deserve means using specialised equipment that you often won’t find in a cut-price eyetest. These extra checks can pick up on early signs of problems which gives us more time to address them. We believe that the extra service we provide is worth paying for.
We have put together an in-depth walkthrough of your appointment so you can see exactly what to expect.
Private eye exams cost £65.00 with OCT or £45 without (this is likely to take around 45 minutes).
NHS eye exams are free to those entitled, photos and OCT can be added at an extra charge.

RP4 priority patient plan
Just like a check-up at the dentist or doctors, regular eye tests are essential to keep you healthy.
To help make regular eye check-ups easier for you we have created RP4, our payment plan to help you spread your eye exam cost.
With a payment of just £11 per month, the cost of your eye examination and the OCT eye exam cost will be fully covered.
On top of this, you can also get 30% discount off all spectacle related purchases including lenses, frames, prescription sunglasses and accessories.
If you’re already entitled to a free NHS eye test, we will discount your spectacles by the extra amount.
I got the RP4 membership which is very handy. I just forget about it and once a month the money comes out of my account. When I go to Richard Petrie Optometrists there’s a discount of around 30% which comes off the bill which is always welcome.
